1.) Pay it forward is when you do an act of kindness with nothing in return.
In the movie Traver's teacher gave the class an assignment to pay it forward. A boy named Traver bought home a homeless man and took care of him. After Traver thought of a plan where if he helped one person that person would help another person and then it would keep getting bigger and bigger and more people would get involved in pay it forward.
What was your Pay It Forward act of kindness?
My act of kindness that I chose was baking cupcakes for all the teachers and EA's at Sargent Park School.

Who did you help?
We helped all the people working at Sargent Park School.

The next day me, ronalen, and Kassey all went to Kassey's house and baked honey cupcakes and iced them with vanilla frosting. Then on Monday at lunch we gave them out to all the teachers and EA`s at Sargent park school. Lastly, at the end we all got great feedback when we gave the cupcakes out. (:

We bought the ingredients on Saturday and made the cupcakes on Sunday and delivered them on Monday

some people would even ask what is it so we would explain what it is and we would also explain part of the movie pay it forward so people would know what it is. Other said oh okay thank you very much i will do that.
Why is the idea of "Pay it Forward" important?
The idea of pay it forward is important because we need to be inspired to change the world and having the chance to do something kind with nothing in return makes you feel really good about yourself " It starts with ME and ends in WE" and what that means is if one person can do it then it will inspire three people and then those three people will turn out to be nine people changing the world and i think no matter how old or how young everyone can make a difference.
Has your act of kindness made a difference?
Yes, i think my act of kindness has made a difference because with the smallest change like putting a smile on someones face or even just making someone day with a cupcake you have made a difference.
Here Me, Janessa, and Ronalen have made these video of making our act of kindness.
"You see, I do something real good for three people. And then when they ask how
they can pay it back, I say they have to Pay It Forward...to three more people. Each. So, nine people get helped. Then those people have to do twenty-seven." He turned on the calculator, punched in a few numbers. "Then it sort of spreads out, see, to eighty-one, then two hundred forty-three, then seven hundred twenty-nine, then two thousand, one hundred eighty-seven. See how big it gets?" - Trevor

Yes, my group and I did ask people to pay it forward.
How did they react to your request?
They said " I sure will !!! "
Why is the idea of "Pay it Forward" important?
The idea of pay it forward is important because we need to be inspired to change the world and having the chance to do something kind with nothing in return makes you feel really good about yourself " It starts with ME and ends in WE" ( That is Kassey's statement ) and what that means is if one person can do it then it will inspire three people and then those three people will turn out to be nine people changing the world and I think no matter how old or how young everyone can make a difference.
Has your act of kindness made a difference?
Yes, I think my act of kindness has made a difference because with the smallest change like putting a smile on someones face or even just making someone day with a cupcake you have made a difference.
Here is a video of us making the cupcakes and remember to pay it forward !
Some people would even ask what is it so we would explain what it is and we would also explain part of the movie pay it forward so people would know what it is. Other said oh okay thank you very much I
It is a random act of kindness that you do to 3 people. You tell them to Pay it Forward, then they will Pay it Forward to 3 other people. It can get very big. You can just say hi or just do a little good deed like picking something up for someone, and it can make there day. If you think about it, you might be able to change the world with one good deed. I also think that one person CAN changed the world. And I also think that you can make yourself a better person by thinking of others instead of always yourself.
Part 2
What was your Pay It Forward act of kindness? My Pay it Forward act of kindness was buying toys, puzzles, stickers, bouncy balls, pencils, erasers, notepads and making origami. We put all of the toys in the bags and in total we had 50 bags 25 bags for girls and 25 bags for boys.

Who did you help?I helped the children in the hospital.
What did you do? I made goodie bags for children at the children's hospital.
When did you do you act of kindness?I did my act of kindness on Monday, November 14, 2011 at 8:00 AM at the Childrens Hospital
Part 3

How did the person or people react? The lady Tania who went to accept our treat bags for the children were very surprised because of the amount of treat bags we brought. She took a picture of us and told us that she was going to up it up on the Childrens Hospital website.
Did you ask the person or people to "Pay It Forward"? My group explained to her what "Pay It Forward" was We told her that "Pay It Forward" is doing something for someone not expecting anything back. and we asked the lady to "pay it forward" and she said she will because she wanted to see the "pay it forward" move around the world and making other people's livesbetter to.
How did they react to your request? The lady Tania was very happy that we made treat bags for the children and she was surprised about the amount of treat bags we brought.
Part 4
Why is the idea of "Pay it Forward" important?
The idea of "Pay it Forward" is important because it gets people start thinking about someone other then themselves and help them without getting anything back. So they can see what a big change they made by just paying it forward. It's a nice way to show that even one person can make a difference in this world.
Has your act of kindness made a difference?
I think that it has made a difference because the children in the hospital could have a terminal illness or they're in the hospital because they may be injured and these gift bags can make them happier and take they're minds off being sick and such.
The lady Tania from the Children's Hospital sent us a messaged to us the next day. This is what she said
"Thank you again for the fantastic gift bags, your group really put a lot of work into it and they were beautiful. The kids loved them! There was one girl who’s mom was there and commented that they should do something nice like that too"
1)Pay it forward is a act of kindness that that you do to make a difference in our world and hope other people will do the same and we will all pay it forward one by one across the world
2)My Pay It Forward act of kindness was to go and donate some food at the Winnipeg Harvest. I made a difference by donating 31.6 pounds of food that will change a person to making a difference
I chose this activity because I wanted to help on producing foods to people who don't get there food and nutrition of the day like us. So I thought ''why not'' I have lots of food i can make a difference by going to the Winnipeg Harvest and donating some food.
I helped Winnipeg Harvest by donating food to go to people who are not getting there vitamins and there food that they need.
I chose to donated 31.6 pounds of food to the Winnipeg Harvest.
It was donated on the 14th of November 2011 around 8:30 am
Part 3
I think me act of kindness went really well.
I fell proud of myself because I made a difference to help spread kindness around the world.
The people at Winnipeg Harvest were proud for me for donating food.
I told the lady at the front desk if she can ask the others to help '' pay it forward ''
I put a smile on there face when I brought food to make a difference.
Part 4 ) I think more people have to work together to make a positive change because to pay it forward is important. to you and others.\
I believe my and our act of kindness will spread throughout the city even possible to make a difference in the world!!!
"Pay if Forward" is an act of kindness towards others without getting anything in return. Paying it forward is do an act of kindness to other and instead of getting something in return, it is repaid by that person doing an act of kindness to other person. Paying it forward is a movement where is starts with doing an a good deed or an act of kindness to 3 people then the 3 people do the same thing to another 3 people and so on. It starts off with 3 people then it turns to 9 people then it turns to 27 and so on.
Part 2:
What was your Pay it Forward act of kindness?
My Pay if Forward act of kindness was giving goodie bags to the sick children in the Children's Hospital. We bought toys and and cool items and we put them in bags and we gave them to the sick children in the hospital.
Why did you choose this activity?
I chose this activity because I wanted to make the children in the Children's Hospital more happy. Children get cancer treatments everyday. Going for cancer treatment is not fun, so I thought it would be nice to cheer them up with toys and other cool items.
Who did you help?
I helped 50 children in the Children's Hospital, 25 boys and 25 girls. We cheered them up with goodie bags filled with toys and other items.
What did you do?
I made goodie bags to give to sick children in the Children's Hospital. We cheered up 50 children by giving them goodie bags. We first went shopping for the toys and stuff we need. We bought stickers, puzzles, bouncy balls, rulers, pencils, notebooks, pencil cases, we bought origami papers to make origami. Then we put the supplies into the bags. Then we made paper cranes and we made paper elephants, paper giraffes, and paper lions. After we printed out inspirational quotes and tied them with ribbons on to the bags. After many days of emailing the hospital and couple of phone calls, we arranged the time and the date to go to the hospital to give in the goodie bags. On November 14, 2011 at 8:00am, we went to the Children's Hospital and gave a lady named Tania the goodie bags where she will then give the children it later.
When did you do the act of kindness?
I did the act of kindness on November 14, 2011 at 8:00am. My friends and I went to the Children's Hospital right before school to give the goodie bags to the hospital.
Part 3:
How did your act of kindness go?
I think my act of kindness went pretty well because we were prepared and had everything planed out. The hardest part about this project was arranging with the hospital what time and day we could come in. But in the end, everything worked out and everything went really well.
What happened?
My friends and I sorted the items that we bought and made into the bags and we gave the bags to the Children's Hospital. On our way to the hospital, I was nervous. I have never done anything like this before so I didn't know what to expect. When we went inside, we went to the front desk and told the lady about our project. She gave us a puzzled look and it was clear that she didn't know what we were talking about. Luckily, the day before, we emailed them again and we talked to a lady named Tania who said she would meet us there. We mentioned Tania's name and the lady in the front desk called her down. Everything was fine. Tania asked us more information about our Pay if Forward project. We told her about it then we took pictures and she gave us a certificate. She told us many children are going to be very happy because of us and she thanked us. I felted very happy because we did a good thing. Even though we know we didn't do anything big, we still made 50 children happy.
How did you feel?
I felt happy knowing that we had cheered up 50 kids by simply giving them little treat bags. The feelings I was feeling when we gave the bags, was happiness because we are going to make 50 kids happy, a little bit of excitement because I couldn't wait for the children to get the bags, and a bit of relief because everything went very well.
How did the person or people react?
The reaction we got from Tania when we gave her the bags was surprise. She was surprise of the amount of bags we had. She told us a lot of children are going to be happy because of you guys.
Did you ask the person of people to "Pay if Forward"?
We did ask Tania to "Pay if Forward". We couldn't tell the children to "Pay if Forward" because they needed their privacy so we couldn't see them.
How did they react to your request?
When we told her about "Pay it Forward" and to "Pay it Forward", she seemed surprise and interested. She told us that would "Pay it Forward."
Part 4:
Why was the idea "Pay it Forward" important?
The idea "Pay if Forward" is important because it gets people to think about someone else other than themselves. It's important because it's about doing an act of kindness without getting anything in return. Paying it forward is making a difference, it may not be a big difference, but if everybody participates, all of the act of kindness they are doing, it all adds up to be a big difference.
Has you act of kindness made a difference?
I think my act of kindness had made a difference. It made a difference in 50 kids that got the bags. We have made 50 kids happy.
The next day, Tania from the Children's Hospital sent us a message saying:
"Thank you again for the fantastic gift bags, your group really put a lot of work into it and they were beautiful. The kids loved them! There was one girl who’s mom was there and commented that they should do something nice like that too"
Here's a link to the Children's Hospital for more information on what we did.
" Pay it forward" is doing a random act of kindness for aleast someone who will in turn pass it on to other people. From the movie: "You see, I do something real good for three people. And then when they ask how they can pay it back, I say they have to Pay It Forward...to three more people. See how big it gets?"
For my pay it forward I worked with Anita Chan, and Melina Cuneapen. We babysat my 3 cousins. Matthew, Jayden, and Fiona. This was honestly the best experiance ever! We had babysat my 3 cousins because I had to help my mom with this, because she was sick over the weekend and I had to tell Anita and Melina that plans were doomed. So they asked me " Sheila, we can help you babysit" When i heard those words over the phone, my heart beated with blood flowing joy!
We made arts and crafts, even took a bath for them, put them to sleep, feed them, and also played with them. It was so fun, Anita and Melina asked to babysit some other time. Which is awesome for my mom cause she really needs a break! My mom said that we made her day alot better without having to worry about a thing. This pay it forward was compeleted over the weekend. November 12-14 2011
These are some pictures of my cousins that we babysat:
Here is a picture of 4 year old, Fiona :
And now Matthew of age 1 :
And finally 2 year old Jayden:
Well we had tons of fun over the weekend! We babysat 3 very fun and wonderful kids. I felt very happy that we helped my mom with this, even though i have helped her alot though these busy but fun years. I was overjoyed to see a ton of smiles coming from these amazing kids! Watching them grow up is just amazing! Even though sometimes these kids can be annoying or even worst CRYING! But thats okay. I didn't even mind that i had 3 wake up calls from Melina and 25 un-read emails from Anita on saturday morning. All of the re- planning, calls, and emails were totally worth it! Seeing my mom and the kids smile was just amazing! My mom makes Fiona's, Matthew's, and Jayden's parents life more easier knowing that they have a helping hand whenever it is needed. I have told my mom to " pay it forward" and she did! She have helped so many people already! So why stop? It's best to see every single person smile on this world!
The idea of Pay it Forward is so important because when one person helps 3 people, and one of those 3 people helps another 3 people, the numbers really add up and make a giant difference. The thought of helping someone without asking for anything in return is also really nice. My act of kindness has made a difference to my mom and some very wonderful kids! Simply by Melina, Anita, and I babysitting some awesome kids. It was such a fun weekend! I hope that we can do this another time or even change it around by helping other people in the community.
Well thats MY pay it forward. Thanks for taking time in your day to read this!
Pay i forward is a move that somebody created. Pay it forward is doing something for somebody that is helpful and expect nothing in return. Then you could that for a couple of other people then you could ask them to do the same for somebody else. Then they could do the same. After you would have started a gigantic chain of people doing helpful or kind things for each other.
Part 2
My pay it forward act of kindness was that I raked up a couple of houses in my neighborhood. I chose this activity because when I was walking home one day I saw a bunch of my neighbor's lawn were covered in leaves. Then I was thinking "maybe they don't have the time to rake up the leaves." The people that I helped were people in my neighborhood whose leaves were not raked. I went up to there houses and asked them if I could rake up their lawn's for free, if they said yes then I would do the best I could. I did my act of kindness on Sunday, November 13, 2011.
Part 3
My act of kindness was great, although I was scared I gained more confidence along the way. I raked up their front yards big or small and their leaves by the street. I felt really good about making them happy and scared when they had a dog. My neighbors reacted with confusion because when I said for free but when I told them about pay it forward that confusion went away. When I finished each yard I asked them if they would pay it forward to somebody else and all of them said "of course" or even "why wouldn't I."
Part 4
I think pay it forward is important because if everybody helps each other the world would be in perfect balance. Which means everybody would be helping each other and would be kind to each other. That is why pay it forward is important.
Pay it forward is anact of kindness that you do for someone who will pass it on to other people.
For my pay it forward act of kindness Anita and Sheila and I babysat Sheila’s cousins for the weekend because Sheila’s mom was sick. We were going to go do something else but sheila told us she couldnt go because her mom was sick. So me and anita decided that we could help out sheilas mom by babysitting three of sheilas baby cousin. The kids we watched were Jayden, Matthew, and Fiona. Jayden is 2 Matthew is 1 and Fiona is 4. We babysat for the weeken and we thought it would be hard because the kids were very energized but it wasnt hard at all it was actually really fun!
This is 2 year old Jayden:
Here is 1 year old Matthew:
And this is 4 year old Fiona:
Our act of kindness went pretty well. We played catch with them (inside the house) we made arts and crafts with them we even had to give them a bath! I thought i would be hard having to wake up at 8 in the morning and going to babysit three little kids but after spending the weekend with these adorable kids i didnt mind having to wake up at 8. I felt really good helping sheilas mom. Sheila's mom was very happy when she saw that the kids were laughing and smiling and it felt great to us seeing a smile on her face! We didn't ask sheilas mom to "Pay it Forward" because she was sick. But she does help more than three people a day, because whoever she is babysitting she helps the kids parents out a bit.
Paying it forward is a important because if three people help three people then the other three people help sombody else the chain of helping people would continue and it will make a difference! The thought of helping someone without asking anything in return is very nice. My act of kindness helped sheilas mom and the kids parents. It was really fun babysitting jayden, matthew and fiona! It was a very fun weekend and it would be fun if we could do something like this again.
"Pay It Forward" is a movie about a boy name Trevor. He attempt to change the world given a Social Studies project by his new Social Studies teacher. Paying it forward means that you help 3 other people out , instead of giving back you " Pay It Forward" to 3 other people. Then you continue and continue and the chain will get bigger and bigger !
Part 2
What was your Pay It Forward act of kindness? My act of kindness was that me and my group ( Norien, Nicole, Beverly ) went to Children Hospital and gave the children's there some treat's and toy's. We were suppose to volunteer to play with children but you had to be at lease 14 years of age and give some medical records be we had to volunteer.
Why did you choose this activity?
Why we chose this act of kindness is that it's really sad seeing a children that young going though so much medical already. And knowing that one simple thing like a treat bag can make then happy. And think about if that was you wouldn't you be happy knowing that people out there are praying and caring about your situation !
Who did you help?
We helped kids from Children's Hospital Foundation.
What did you do?
We gave them treat bags with toys and cookies inside.
When did you do you act of kindness? We did our act of kindness on November 10 , 11 and 14. On 10 and 11 we organize our stuff that we bought and called. Then on the 14 we went to Children's Hospital Foundation during lunch !
Part 3
How did your act of kindness go?
I felt really great, knowing that we helped children and we also made a difference to them ! And buying stuffed animal's and knowing that the money will be in good use, like giving them to children that need's them.
What Happened?
We went to Children's Hospital at lunch on November 14. And gave the works the goodies we made to give to the children. Then Tania a working from Children's Foundation Hospital came and gave us a certificate that we didn't expected ! We took a couple of picture's with them. After we waited for Norien's dad to pick us up , we saw a gift shop and decided to look around. Then we found out that the money will be given to the Children's Hospital Foundation, so we decided to buy one stuffed animal !
How did you feel?
I felt really good and happy ! Knowing that we made a BIG differences by giving some simple treats will make then happy !
How did the person or people react?
We didn't see the reaction of the children but inside I can feel how they are happy ! But the reaction of the workers from Children Hospital Foundation were really surprise to see how many grade 8 student's from Sargent came by to make a differences to their kids.
Did you ask the person or people to "Pay It Forward"? We wrote on notes to "Pay It Forward" and we showed them the paper to what "Pay It Forward" really meant.
How did they react to your request?
They reacted surprise and happy. Them knowing at our age we are already making a differences to the world.
Part 4
Why is the idea of "Pay it Forward" important? "Pay It Forward" is important because you can continue the chain and make the chain even bigger by, "Paying It Forward" to three other people. So it would continue to make a differences.
Has your act of kindness made a difference?
Yes, I made a difference because knowing that children are now happy from one simple thing that we did !
And I got a message from one of the works for Children Hospital Foundation saying...
" I wanted to thank you again for making the treat bags for the kids in the hospital, they were so thoughtful! We brought your groups gifts to the Respirology department, where kids who have breathing disorders go for treatment and tests. You made a lot of kids very happy. "
"Pay It Forward" is an act of kindness towards others. If you know someone who is going through a rough time and needs help or even a person you don't know. You help the person in whatever way they need help. After you have helped them you ask them to do the same for another person, then that person asks another person and so on. All this is one individual trying to make a change in the world one person at a time.
Part 2
My Pay It Forward act of kindness was to go and donate some food and toys to Winnipeg Harvest. I gave in 38.4 pounds of food and toys.
I chose this activity because I wanted to give some new toys to Winnipeg Harvest then my mom said, "why not give some food too." I thought it was a good idea.
I helped Winnipeg Harvest by donating food to give to many people in need.
I donated 38.4 pounds of food and new toys to Winnipeg Harvest.
I did this on Saturday, November 12, 2011 around 12:00 pm.
Part 3 My act of kindness went well.
I felt really good about helping my community and even the city.
The people at Winnipeg Harvest were ecstatic when they saw I donated so much food and toys.
No, I didn't ask because that is what Winnipeg Harvest does.
They were happy to take the food and toys.
Part 4 The idea of "Pay It Forward" is important because some people never think about helping someone like we have.
"Pay It Forward" is a movie that we watched and this idea was a part of our Me to We project and 2 minutes to make a difference. This movie is a boy named Trevor who is asked to do a project that can make a difference in someone or some people's lives no matter how small or how large or even how simple or complicated. The system of "Pay It Forward" consists of doing something for 3 people and those 3 people have to do another good deed 3 other people and so on....
This idea is can affect everyone in the world and that's how it is an amazing idea. Even if Trevor died his idea is lived on by others that had been inspired by him.
Part 2
My Pay It Forward act of kindness is donating money ($20.00) to Silaom Mission with Suzzene Palattao. We chose this act of kindness because we wanted to help people in the Silaom Mission Organization for their hard work and this was like our thank you for volunteering their time to help less fortunate people. I knew it wasn't a really big amount, but i hoped we helped cause it went to a really good cause. I think and hoped that the money when to people who needed support. We did this act of kindness on Thursday, November10, 2011.
Part 3
I think the act of kindness went well and as planned and we learned some REALLY valuble life lessons and amazing facts like they never turn down people that need help even if the people that come to Silaom Mission need help or if they just lie about getting food and free stuff for free cause they know that if they had a heart god has sent them to Silaom Mission for help and they know that they are god's angel sent to help and not judge them if they need help or not. We went to the front desk and said," that we were from Sargent Park and we were here to donate money". Plus they gave us a tour of some parts of the building. I felt nervous at first because I think of myself as a not very social person and I am really shy, but I faced my fears and said what I had to say. I also felt that after the tour I REALLY wanted to donate more because I knew the work that they were putting for people they don't even know and I loved how the building was so clean and dependable.I think the reaction of the women for me was shocked and thankful because her eyes widened and kids don't usually go out of their ways to do and act of kindness or make a difference in someone's life. As a kid myself we usually only think of ourselves first, but this project made me think of people other that myself and hope the other grade 8's also do and feel the same. I didn't ask the person or people to "Pay It Forward" because Silaom Mission is always helping less fortunate people and I am thankful that people will spend their time to volunteer for people in need. This is why I didn't ask Silaom Mission to "Pay It Forward".
Part 4
I think the importance of "Pay It Forward" is that a good deed shouldn't be done once it should be done as many times as it can possibly done in you life. This links us together like a chain to let less fortunate people know that if the chain breaks physically it will not break emotionally because we will always try to help as much as we can. For me I think this act of kindness made a difference because the money will go to people who almost have nothing and as I look at myself I
have food to eat, shelter, clothing and be able to go to school. This project really transformed us grade 8's and made us SELFLESS.
