Ian's Scribe Post

Hey everyone I'll be showing you ways of how to get to get a sale price and the discount of an item

For example 1)
USB Cord $8.99 50% OFF
The Discount is $8.99 x 0.50 = 4.495 (I got 0.50 by dividing 50 by 100)
The Sale Price is $ 8.99 - 4.495 = 4.49
Total Price = $4.49
Tax $4.49 x $1.12= $5.03

Example # 2

Sony T.V. $698 SAVE 20%
Discount price 698 x 0.20 = $139.6 ( I got it by dividing 20 by 100)
Sale Price 698 - 139.6 = $558.4
Total Price $558.4
Tax $558.4 x $1.12=625.4

Ian's Pay It Forward

1.) Pay it forward is an idea that helps people and is passed on to another person that is in need of help on some stuff that they need help with.

2.)My pay it Forward kindness was taking car of my cousins dog named peanut. I choose the activity because I have passion for puppy's so I volunteered to help. I helped my cousins dog because I thought it would be a great kind activity to do. I did my active kindness on Saturday November 12, 2011
.

3.) My active kindness went well because after . What happend was I took the dog for a walk, I fed him I also played catch with him. I felt good because I knew I was doing a good deed to a family member. My cousin reacted good, she said "Thank You" it also made me feel good. Her reaction to my request was suprising, because I was doing something helpful to her. I didn't ask my cousin to "Pay It Forward" because I forgot about it.

4.) The idea of "Pay It Forward" is important because, it is telling people how to be more kind, helpful and active at the same time! My active kindness has made a diffrence because my cousin may now take care of other peoples dog just like what I did with Peanut.

Ian's Graphing Post

1.) Line Graph-Advantage-The Advantage is it can compare multiple continuous data sets easily
Disadvantage- You can use it continuously

Bar Graph- advantage: it can compare large sets of dat
a easily.
Disadvantage- Graph categories can be reordered to
emphasize certain effects.

Double Bar Graph- Advantage-
Can compare multiple continuous data sets easily
Disadvantage-Use only with continuous data

Circle Graph- Advantage-

Pictograph-
Advantage -The advantage is it can compare large data sets easily using keyed icons
Disadvantage- It can only go up to 2-6 pictures.

2.) 1 way is the break in the y axis.
one of the bars are wider.
lastly the distorting of the visual.

2a) I would use line graph and bar graph

2b) yes because it would show how the pizza sub shop is improving in selling.
It explains because it showing the improvement.

4) I would use line graph because it shows more i
mprovement than the pictograph.

2)
As a playgroup worker, if I increase the amount of apple juice I am serving at the playgroup from 25 ml to 100 ml, how much should I increase the the orange juice to, to keep the quantities in the same proportion? The orange juice is 50 ml to start with.

3) What are the three ways you can prove that equivalent ratio statements are true?

3/4=12/16 diagonally ANSWER: first you multiply the diagonal then the top and bottom ones.

5)We are starting to engage in discussions about social justice. What do you think about this image below. Use the link to copy it into your post. Then answer the questions

1) Does this seem fair ( Nope)
2) I've made this choice because it isn't fair how the homeless person got 15 years in jail and the person who stole 3 billion dollars 15 years in jail.
3) If I was the judge I would sentence the person who stole 3 billion dollars to 15 years in prison and the the homeless person I would sentence him 1 year in prison.
