Math Questions/Pythagorean Relationship Taylor

4. a) 8.4
b) 10.1
c) 7.4

9. What are all possible whole numbers that have a square root between 4 and 5?
17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24
10. Kai uses an entire can of paint on a square backdrop for the school play. The label
on the can states that one can cover 27 squared metre of wall surface. Estimate the backdrop's side length, to one decimal place.

1. The Pythagorean relationship between the lengths of the sides of a right triangle. The sum of the areas of the squares attached to the legs of a right triangle equals the area of the square attached to the hypotenuse.

2.
a^2 + b^2 = c^2\!\,
12+5=c
(12x12)+(5x5)=c
144+25=c^2
c^2=169cm^2
/c^2=/169cm^2
c^2=13cm

3. It is not a right triangle because a^2+b^2 does not equal c^2.
a^2 + b^2 = c^2\!\,
6^2+8^2=11^2
(6x6)+(8x8)=(11x11)
36+64=121
100X=X121

  1. Great work Taylor! I liked how you added a video, that really helped me and will help the others too! One suggestion that i'd like to make is that you add more different colors to the post and add more pictures to make everything stand out ( eye catching) I noticed on the second picture you put the 27 in the right place but not " 5.1" You should be careful next time! Always check over your work! But overall good job!

  2. Awesome job Taylor! I really liked your pictures they helped me understand how you got your answer but I have to agree with sheila you put the 5.1 in the wrong place but I still understood what you meant. Your video was also very helpful. But a suggestion I have is that you could've added some color like Sheila also said to make it stand out but otherwise great job!
