Randolph's Graphing Post!

1. a.) Bar Graph
Advantage: It can easily compare two and three bar data sets.
Disadvantage: It can recorded to emphasize of certain effects of the data.





b.) Lin
e Graph
Advantage: It can be inferred from the graph line.
Disadvantage: You only use the continuous data.




c.) Circle Graph
Advantage: Are best for comparing categories to the whole using percents.
Disadvantage: It can only compare of using one variable.




d.) Double Bar Graph
Advantage: It can be used to compared of two data steps.

Disadvantage: It can only be compared of two data steps.



e.) Pictograph
Advantage: It handles large data of using keyed icons.
Disadvantage: It is the best for only 2 or 6 categories of data.




2.) How the graphs are misleading? 3 ways are:

1. Break the y-axis.




2. Distorting the visuals.




3. Distorting the size of a bar.




3. a.)
The following chart shows Pizza Sub Sales over a month. What 2 graphs would show the information accurately?

Answer: I think I would choose for 2 graphs are bar graph and the line graph so the information would be more accurately.


b.) If you were selling Pizza Subs would you continue? How does your graph explain your answer.

Answer: Yes because I would like to continue to sell more pizzas so the items of pizzas would selling more and more every week.




4. a.)
Below you see 2 different examples of graphs showing healthy choices sold at the canteen. If you had to convince Mrs Mota that we should continue selling healthy choices which graph would you choose?



Explain: I think I choose the line graph because it was selling more in the canteen every month.

b.)
Change each graph so that your information looks even MORE impressive. You may not change the data just the graphs.
